Matthew Long is a design strategist based in Sonoma, California. He helps businesses bring clarity to their communications, brands, and designs by grounding strategy in meaningful insights. Matt works closely with clients to articulate their value and build brands that are well-positioned, engaging, and respected by their audience. With experience spanning branding, product design, and marketing, he approaches every project with a holistic perspective.

Matt’s career began in financial services, first in loss mitigation, where he helped families save their homes from foreclosure—a role that sparked his commitment to supporting people in meaningful ways. From there, he worked in financial services operations, learning firsthand the importance of helping enterprise workers do their jobs more efficiently. Before that, he got his start in customer service and web design while helping run his dad’s small business in Ohio. Raised in a small town, then living in Ohio, Pittsburgh, and Florida, Matt built a foundation rooted in customer care, problem-solving, and small business values.

Beyond his professional work, Matt is the co-founder of Sonoma Valley Pride—a passion project that reflects his deep commitment to community. He lives in Sonoma with his partner, Chef Kyle, and their dog, Stella. At the core of his work is a mission: to help others uncover their unique voice and amplify it, giving them the tools and confidence to share it for the betterment of society.
